Elections for 2023-25 Virginia PTA Officers will be held at the Virginia PTA 2023 Annual Meeting. 

The Virginia PTA Nominations Committee announced the following slate of officers for the 2023-2025 term on March 6, 2023. The 2023 Slate of Candidates are selected based on their competencies as demonstrated in their submitted résumé, narrative of skills and experience, vision for the position, and reference feedback.

Virginia PTA Bylaws allow individuals to self-declare and run from the floor for officer positions by providing a letter of interest to the President. The self declaring window for candidates running from the floor closed Thursday, April 20, 2023 at 5:00PM ET. Announcement of the final list of candidates (including slated and self-declared) will be announced in the first week of May.

** NOTE:  As proposed in the bylaws amendments approved and presented by the Board of Directors, and after consideration by the Nominations Committee, the position Vice President of Community Partnership is slated for removal from the board pending a vote at the 2023 Annual Meeting. This position has been vacant since it's creation in 2022 and was designed to be responsible for sponsorships and fundraisers. This work has traditionally been completed by Office staff. The Virginia PTA Executive Committee is in the process of hiring a designated employee for this work. Approval of the proposed bylaws amendment will remove the VP of Community Partnerships position from the 2023-2035 election.
