Parental Involvement Means Love in February
Let's face it. We're all busy. We are working one, sometimes two jobs just to make ends meet. However, we are not allowed to let Valentine's Day pass without showering our loved ones with chocolates, flowers, jewelry and dinner. Stop for a minute and consider how many hours is spent making all this happen. This month, I challenge you to match the time that you spend preparing for Valentine's Day and spend it in your child's school. Ask your child's principal, teacher or Media Specialist what you can do to help. Whether it be baking 'just because' brownies for Fun Fridays, raking leaves out front of the school on a Saturday, welcoming kids as they get off the bus, or helping your child with their homework, any and every involvement is valuable.
