Hurricane IkeAdopt-a-PTA Program
The Hurricane Ike Adopt-a-PTA program is designed to help PTAs across the country coordinate their efforts to assist those hurt by Hurricane Ike and other natural disasters. This online program lets PTAs register their needs - for their schools, for other non-PTA schools in their community, for displaced children and families, or any other type of support to help the families and communities affected by Hurricane Ike.
Using the Adopt-a-PTA "needs form," hurricane-affected PTAs provide details about who they are, where they are, and what they need. Then PTAs with the potential to donate and help can use the search function to review needs based on type or geographic location, and contact the affected PTA or school thereby "adopting" it.
