Board of Managers Spotlight: Meet Debbie


The state Education Committee acts as a clearinghouse for information by keeping abreast of trends in education.

The state committee will:

  • Monitor and report on monthly meetings of the State Board of Education.
  • Foster an ongoing dialogue with Department of Education officials and educational associations.
  • Prepare and give testimony when necessary at Board of Education meetings and public hearings in accordance with PTA positions.
  • Promote and foster parental involvement in the education of children and youth.
  • Visit the Education Library for Forms and Information

Local units are to:

  • Monitor and report on local school board meetings
  • Foster an ongoing dialogue with school administration officials, both at the school site and division-wide.
  • Coordinate local unit activities and position statements with the PTA Council.
  • Promote and foster parental involvement in the education of children and youth.
