Debi was elected on November 14, 2009 and will be president for 2 years. Debi lives in Newport NEs where she raised her children for the past 22 years. Abadie's daughter, Megan, and her husband, Dan Palmer live and work in Northern Virginia and are the parents of her first granddaughter, Ava Elise Palmer. Her son, Jacques (Jay) Abadie works in Austin, Texas, while his fiancee, Elizabeth Midget is stationed at Fort Hood as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Army. Abadie attended both Richard Bland and John Tyler Community Colleges. She is employed by Newport News Public Schools as the Secretary for the Guidance Department at Menchville High School.
