PTA Legislation Committee
The Legislation Committee reviewed the current Virginia PTA
Position Paper, which contains Legislation Action Items (LAI), Resolutions and
Policy Statements (PS) adopted by the membership of the Virginia PTA since 1984.
Many of these positions reflect important issues that have not been fully addressed
by the Virginia legislature. Fourteen issues have been selected, based on their
timeliness, importance, and relevance to legislation introduced in recent
sessions, for members to review. With members support, Virginia PTA can be
more proactive and effective in its legislative program.
