Comprehensive School Health Study

RESOLVED, that the Virginia PTA/PTSA supports legislation directing the Governor to establish a Virginia Commission on School Health charged with studying and making recommendations on the components of a comprehensive school health program, and composed of members of the General Assembly, the Departments of Education, Health, Youth and Family Services, and Medical Assistance Services, as well as representatives from the business sector, health care associations, Virginia Education Association, local education associations, PTA and the Virginia Pediatric Society.
