Virginia PTA is part of the largest child advocacy group in the world. One of the tools we use to speak on behalf of children is Virginia PTA Resolutions. Do you know of a situation or concern which affects children and youth statewide and requires statewide action for solution? The Resolution Committee encourages PTA members, units, councils and districts to propose resolutions of interest on which they wish the Virginia PTA to take a position.
Those resolutions, which must meet specific criteria, will be offered at the 2017 Virginia PTA Annual Meeting, to be held July 13-15, 2017 in Richmond, Virginia. You may be wondering if Virginia PTA already has a position or resolution on a certain topic. Check for ideas and information in the search below. We also offer instructions to guide you. Click on "How to Write a Resolution" in the right column. If you would like help, please feel free to email the Resolutions Chair. To be considered, all resolutions with all documentation and indexing can be either mailed to the Virginia PTA office or they can be emailed and received by the Resolutions Chair, no later than late April 2017 (specific dates to come). Please follow up with an e-mail to see that they were received.
