Call for Resolutions: Deadline is 60 days prior to Convention

In preparation for the annual Convention, the Resolution Committee encourages PTA members to propose resolutions of interest on which they wish the Virginia PTA to take a position. This is your opportunity to address problems, situations, or concerns, which affect children and youth statewide, and which require statewide action for solutions.  All resolutions must be postmarked no later than midnight 60 days prior to Convention, in order to be considered by the committee.

Emergency resolutions pertaining to events that have become public knowledge after the deadline must be submitted in person by any maker of the resolution to the Resolutions Committee by 6:00 p.m. on the first day of convention and may be brought to the convention floor on a two-thirds (2/3) vote of the delegates
