Membership Cards

Individual Membership
When you join a local unit PTA, you are issued a membership card for each local unit PTA or PTSA you join. Virginia PTA does not recognize family memberships. While some local units offer these, they must submit $2.50 to state and national for each member regardless of the amount charged for "family" membership if they choose to offer this within their unit. Multiple memberships mean that someone cannot join the same PTA more than once. Ony one vote per member.

Your PTA card identifies you as a PTA member. Please bring your card with you to PTA meetings, functions and events.

Annual Membership Cards
Local units are issued cards each August for the new PTA year. Locals will receive the number of cards equal to the previous year's membership. Membership is annual and each member must be issued a new card.

Need More Cards?
Local units may request more cards by submitting the Membership Card Order Form available in the Membership Handbook, on the LURG CD or in Membership Library.
