Commonwealth PTA

The Commonwealth PTA, chartered in 1998, is recognized by the Board of Managers as a unique entity within Virginia PTA/PTSA. 

Commonwealth PTA will not be assigned to a specific District or Region. Instead, Commonwealth will seek and accept memberships statewide to benefit the PTA scholarship program. 

Due to its wide reach, Commonwealth PTA will not be eligible for membership awards, since its purpose is not intended to compete with hardworking local units with local programs to support.

The purposes of Commonwealth PTA are 
1) a venue for continuing interaction among PTA leaders, both current and former, and 
2) a vehicle for the creation and delivery of scholarship funds to enhance what Virginia PTA/PTSA currently offers. Our motto is “Scholarship, Stewardship, and Fellowship.” 

Look for the Commonwealth PTA exhibit at State Convention with exciting and fun-filled ideas to fulfill our Scholarship outreach. Please, join Commonwealth PTA today. Help Virginia’s youth with your personal stewardship to assist their scholarship through fellowship as a member!
