The
Child Advocate of the Year Award recognizes an
individual who have made a significant state-wide
impact for Virginia's children through their advocacy
efforts.
Criteria
for Nomination
- The
nominee must be a resident of Virginia
- The
nominee must have made a significant impact for
Virginia's children through their advocacy efforts.
- The
impact must have had state-wide implications.
- Nominations
must be sent to the Legislation Chairman, postmarked
by March 1.
The
Legislation Committee reviews all nominations and
submits an individual for approval to the Board
of Managers at the Spring Board Meeting.
The
award recipient is then presented the Child Advocate
of the Year Award at the annual Convention in November.
