Field Service Training Team

What is the purpose of the Field Service Training Team?
The Field Service Training Team will conduct training sessions in all areas of the states and especially in those areas where there is a loss of membership or lack of participation in PTA.

Who will serve on the Training Team?
The Field Service Training Team will consist of members from across the state, both current board members, past board members and non-board members. The Field Service Training Team will consist of 3-4 trainers for each region of the state.

What will be the focus of the Field Service Training Team?
The focus of the team will be to provide support and resources as well as consistent leadership training with emphasis on effective leadership skills and procedures.

What materials will be used by the trainers?
Leadership training modules have been developed for use by the field service trainers. An orientation session will be held for the trainers that will include a review of all modules and tips on being an effective workshop presenter to ensure that all training team members are versed in all areas of training.

What will be the time commitment for a trainer?
Trainers will not be asked to conduct more than three (3) trainings per year during a one-year term on the team..

How many trainers will be used at a training session?
Field Service trainers will be grouped into teams of 2-3 people per training session.

What expenses will be covered?
Travel, meals and hotel expenses will be covered by the VA PTA for all trainers participating in a training session. as outlined in the VA PTA Standard Operating Procedures.
