What
is a District Director?
A District Director is a PTA member who
is elected to serve as the liaison between the VAPTA
and the local units and councils located in the georgraphical
areas designated as Districts. The District Directors
are member of the VAPTA Board of Managers.

Why
do some Districts have an Assistant Director? When
District membership exceeds 30,000 members, the
District is entitled to an additional seat on
the VAPTA Board of Managers. Other Districts
may have one or more Assistants, but are not
members of the Board.
What
is a Region? The VAPTA is divided into
six regions of 2 or more districts,so that a
closer working relationship with districts, councils
and local units may be achieved.
