Standing Committees

Standing committees may be created by the Board of Mangers as deemed necessary to carry on the work of the Virginia PTA. Each standing committee shall consist of a state chairman, who shall be member of the Board and other persons as may be approved by the executive committee. All standing committees shall include a minimum of one non-board member. Chairmen are elected for a term of two (2) years. The Arts In Education Chair and Legislation chair are elected at the annual spring Board meeting. All other committee chairs are elected at the post-convention board meeting. The Committee Chairs elected 2 chairs to serve on the Executive Committee.
