The Virginia PTA originated in 1904 as
part of the Cooperative Education Association and was
chartered in the National PTA in 1921.

Membership is open to anyone who believes
in the Mission and Objects of the National PTA. You don't

Position
on Fund-raising
The primary purpose of PTA is NOT fundraising.
The strength of PTA lies in its members, not its bank
account. Learn how to balance PTA work with the increasing
need to fund raise.
