Virginia PTA
The Virginia PTA originated in 1904 as part of the Cooperative Education Association and was chartered in the National PTA in 1921.

Who Can Join?
Membership is open to anyone who believes in the Mission and Objects of the National PTA. You don't have to have a child in school to join. Value of PTA Membership

PTA Policy
The PTA is nonprofit, non- commercial, nonsectarian, and nonpartisan ensuring a unity of purpose and protects the association from exploitation.

Position on Fund-raising
The primary purpose of PTA is NOT fundraising. The strength of PTA lies in its members, not its bank account. Learn how to balance PTA work with the increasing need to fund raise.
